The Science of Thermal Lattice Protection
Yellow Iron Oxide (α-FeOOH) naturally dehydrates to Red (α-Fe2O3) at 250∘C. The science of our plastic-grade orange lies in "Hydration Retardation." We apply a thin surface coating that shifts the dehydration temperature upward. This "Thermal Buffer" ensures that the yellow component of the orange blend remains stable during the short "dwell time" inside an extruder, allowing the plastic to retain its bright orange shade rather than shifting toward a muddy brown.
