The Science of Alkali Passivation
The challenge with blue pigments in concrete is the pH of 12+. Our construction-grade blue utilizes "Hybrid Inorganic Chemistry," where the core pigment particles are surface-passivated with a protective layer. This prevents the "Hydroxyl Attack" that causes standard blues to lose their color. By managing the "Particle Surface Tension," we ensure the blue light reflectance remains high even after the cement has fully hydrated and locked the pigment into the CSH (Calcium Silicate Hydrate) matrix.
